A friend was just showing me a weather map that called the entire NE area of the nation HOTH. I had to laugh, even though I don't know of any Tauntauns in the vicinity of New York, Massachusetts and Maine - LOL.
No; mostly they are local neighborhood cats and I just don't have the heart to banish them outside in such terrible cold.
I try to lure as many as possible inside my garage with a tin of food (in addition to a whole lot of dry food) before closing them in at night, which cuts down on how many are actually on my porch.
Well, I do what I can. They get several bowls of fresh water as well during the day -- after I let them out in the morning. I don't keep water in the garage at night because (a) it will freeze and (b) I don't want to slip on any small icy spots when I go in there.
