Anyway, this reminds me of an original fic I read a few years ago on the Merry Sisters of Fate LJ comm. They have since moved to their own web site at http://merryfates.com/
It was about 3 yrs ago and about a girl who won the lottery to have supper with the dragon slayer on the night before he went out to slay the dragon.
The Sisters fic is always bizarre and often disturbing, but sometimes one is in the mood for that...
