The Month In Review

So, it's been a really long month. *sighs* I think part of it was due to Thanksgiving being so late -- it's unusual. I didn't go out and shop yesterday but I did make a point to eat lunch at a local sandwich shop, and buy books at the local stores. After all, books are *necessary* -- am I right or am I right? Of course I'm right! :D
I was thinking about taking in a movie as well but I have seen "Thor 2" twice already (not in 3D though) and now it is time to save those pennies for "The Hobbit: DOS" which I am planning on seeing more than twice. ;)
My cleaning lady is only here part-time. I still have a ton of stuff to go through and take care of but it is just to cold to even think about doing some of it. *sighs* Next spring I will really have to get busy!
I also had a regular dr. checkup and the news was fair. Not any real improvement like I had hoped but not actually horrendous either. So now I must be back on schedule at the Y -- this is a must. I need to treat improving my overall health like I would a 'real' job.
LeeAnn developed a severe flea allergy and I had to take her to the vet to get a shot for it. Despite the fact she is on Frontline Plus, the outdoor cats (some of which belong to the neighbors and some of which come in from who-knows-where since they are tame enough to pet -- and of course the ever-present ferals) rub against her every time she goes outside. There are about a dozen of them, so this is going to be an on-going issue for her. I will take her back in 2-3 weeks time so he can monitor her progress.
Thanksgiving I spent with some distant cousins, which was especially fun since the weather was nice. My cousin C. from Chicago called and we talked for quite a while. She invited me to come there for Christmas but I am not sure. I told her I would call her back in a week or so. A lot depends on the weather *and* if I can get a sitter for the furkids.
Other than that, not much else happened.

Date: 2013-12-01 12:01 pm (UTC)I hope whatever you do you enjoy Christmas, Sam. You'll just have to shelve all your clearing until spring; just jog along through the winter like we all do.
I am gearing up for DoS too! :D

Date: 2013-12-01 07:32 pm (UTC)I'm looking forward to The Hobbit, but this year they are doing a double feature of Unexpected Journey and Desolation of Smaug and charging $27 per person for it. What! No one I know can see it earlier than Saturday. So, I may have to wait until everyone else has seen it already.

Date: 2013-12-02 04:47 pm (UTC)But I have some very nice books now; I'm all set to read them when I get a chance. :)
I didn't know that UJ/DoS though. Yikes! I wonder if the theatres will allow for outside food to be brought in... just popcorn and soda will not be enough! (Second breakfasts anyone? :)
