Well, the worst of the winter weather appears to have gone around us. There was some snow but it soon turned to rain, then heavy flurries and then it got cold enough so I could see icicles forming. So I stayed in and just watched the weather do its thing. We probably got less than 1" of snow yesterday and it was nearly all melted by today. My cousin in Denver, otoh, got around 10" plus of snow yesterday. Heh.

As for personal stuff...

First, I want to thank everyone who has offered condolences and prayers on my aunt's death. It means a lot to me, more than I can ever really say. Just thank you, thank you all so very much. (((hugs)))

My aunt's funeral will be Wednesday. I will probably go down tomorrow or next day and get a hotel room. I won't be staying with any of my cousins because (a) they have enough going on and (b) I have no idea of how to really *drive* in Omaha. It was easy to get to my aunt's house but once I got there, I basically parked the car and stayed. If I wanted to go anywhere, I just caught a ride with one of the cousins. But that option is out, so it means a hotel. ::shrugs:: It's easier anyway; that way I can be sure I won't be a burden on anyone.

I am super-tired right now. This sort of thing always stresses me out and it is frustrating to have to wait and just do nothing. *sigh*

And as I have said before, I will probably be offline for part of next week.

Ttyl!

Ugh! I'm sending you hugs, because being under all that much stress is never easy. I don't think you'd be a burden on anyone. It's been my experience that whenever a family member passes away, most of the living members want to be together to celebrate his or her life, so staying with someone else wouldn't be that much of a problem, at least, not in my book. I'm hoping that you'll be able to see your cousins and other family members and remember the good times even through your sadness. 102 is an incredible age to live to! She must have been a remarkable woman.
Snuggles you!

Travel safely and take care of yourself. It's so easy to get run down when your emotions have been raked over the coals as yours have. Remember to sleep and eat properly and you'll bounce back faster.

Good luck with the next few days. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs, Sam. I hope you manage to get some rest, but I have found that time before the funeral is always terribly stressful. I will be thinking of you.

I do hope you have reasonable weather for the trip, and whilst you are there; a cold, wet, or snowed up funeral is even sadder, somehow.
