No, they added it because they are clueless. "Peter the Pink, the most powerful Istar" is singular no matter whether the photo contains one, two or more people.
As Saruman in the Hobbit movie calls Radagast "undignified for an Istari" or something along those lines, it's not really surprising, but it's still wrong.
