Today's News and Weather Report

The heat started early today but the heat advisory didn't start until noon, and it will run till about 8pm tonight, if not later.

First, I love my new pillows. So nice to sleep w/o my neck being at an awkward angle. I should have done this much sooner but the point is, it's done now. [g]

I put up a new bookcase but since the floor is now slanted, it won't set right and I need to get a little bit of wood (1 7/8", sheesh!) to use as a brace to keep it from leaning. Unfortunately, I have no saw. Or at least, no saw that I can reach easily. And so it goes.

Yesterday I went to the library book sale in Hastings and got some very good deals. I may or may not have added to a few series (I have yet to play match-up) but I found some older ones that I have been trying to find for a long time, also a few vhs tapes that I hope to convert, *somehow*. (I intended to go back today for the bag sale but it was just too hot, when they didn't open until 1 pm. Darn! I really hate missing it, too.)

Right now I am working on writing: a gift fic, one that decided to expand all at once, most unexpectedly and a couple more that I am trying finish and complete.

Otherwise, not much news.

I know what you mean. It's something I often don't think about, but the difference is amazing!

Oh yes, it's nice to wake up feeling somewhat rested again.

As for the fic(s), I will definitely be posting more there. (Just as soon as I get something finished... again... ;)

For my bookshelves, I just wedge a piece of cardboard folded in half under the front "feet" of the bookshelf. Levels it beautifully :-)

Glad the new pillows are working well! Yay!

I wish I could! But I have to have it on bricks so that it won't block a hot air duct and have enough clearance... and where it is is literally the perfect spot. :/ I really need to use brackets on the wall, I guess but I need to find the right kind.
