Hello Out There
Apr. 5th, 2011 05:38 amIf you can read this, please let me know.
If you can read my usual elJ post, please let me know.
Right now I can access the main page of elJ but when I try and click on the link to my recent entries or my flist, I get kicked out. Excuses are: page not responsive, timed out... you know the drill.
I managed to make a post at some point yesterday but I wonder if it can even be seen. I am at a near-total loss on how to get around this. The cynic (or as some might say, paranoid part of) in me that thinks this is all an elaborate scam to force people to buy paid accounts where all of the recent problems and alleged cyber issues will magically go away. But I can't be sure.
And unfortunately, this also makes me realize just how much of the fic I read is located there, and not at a secondary archive. I don't need to tell you that this is *very frustrating* -- especially since I have no other 'real' way of finding/contacting the authors of said fics to let them know that I have not dropped them, and if there is anyplace at all that they can also archive their fics *please*! So if any of you authors happen to be reading this, please let me know!
In the meantime, I am up super early so I can go to the doctor and hopefully get an Rx that will help me get over this cold. (Waking up at 5 am is so not fun.)

Date: 2011-04-05 06:47 pm (UTC)LJ was okay for me for a couple of hours today, and now it's not again. Fortunately, I don't read fic on there, and the last few months have not felt like posting very much, apart from comments on other peoples entries, but I am interested in what people have to say, so this DDOS is a pain.
