Actually, I got a majorly cool invite today from two of my cousins. In fact, it's so cool that I'm going to c&p it here.

As a follow up to the booklet birthday card of last year, Lynn and I would like to invite you to San Francisco this coming September to celebrate your birthday. This would be our treat. We'd like to fly you out, host you (well, that's Lynn's bit), and go do things! Trust me -- Lynn is really, really good at the latter. ;-) As you will have observed from my phrasing, I would be out there, too. We'd have a good old time, although I don't think I can promise another Tongan wedding -- maybe Chinatown instead? So, take a little time to think it over. And don't feel obligated. But, if it sounds like it might suit your fancy, well, we're itching to do it. Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Those detail things: You and I would probably fly out (separately) the Wednesday or Thursday before your birthday, and stay into the early part of the following week. And, you'll need sunglasses.

I'm still rather stunned by it. Obviously, I don't know what to say because my life in general is on hold until... who knows when. Meh. I have some serious thinking to do now. And yeah, definitely take my time because things have a way of screwing up at literally the last minute. I would love to do it though. It would be fun! :)

So, I am cutting things short tonight and try to get some sleep for a change. (I've been chatting w/people on IM, only to fall asleep and disconnect w/o waking up till later on. Bad me!)
