Weirdness of the Day
Jun. 29th, 2010 01:39 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Today started out as any other, and it went straight downhill from there. When I went to open the kitchen door (that leads to the porch, and the outer door) so I could let the little dog out for her morning run inside the fence, the door knob fell off in my hand. And I tried to ease the knob back on so I could open it, but no luck. The little bar had slid *just* far enough ahead so that I can't grasp it with anything, not even needle-nose pliers or a bent paperclip to try and hook it in the little fastener hole... *SIGHS*
Now I am waiting for one of the neighbors to get back from work, so they can remove the kitchen screen and I can hand them the key so they can open the porch door and from there, help me fix the kitchen door so I can get out. Usually this would not be so much of a problem but nearly everyone is at work or on vacation -- which means they are out and around, just not answering their phones. ::head desk:: To make things even better, my little dog is absolutely bonkers to get outside, and she cannot understand why I am not letting her out. :/
