Vet Results

I just got back from the vet with Lucky. She *did not* appreciate being cat-napped from her comfortable routine of eat, sleep and lay-beside-the-computer-when-not-sitting-on-the-computer-mouse and she meowed all the way up there, in the waiting room, during the check-up and all the way home. Not a *yowl* mind you, just this pitiful "mow, mow". The good news is, she's in good shape. The bad news is, they want her to have "dental work" done on Monday. *sigh* Goodbye $200. And I have to have her there at 7:30am. [That's prime sleeping time for me since I don't fall asleep until about 3am but oh well.]

Now I am off to nap and other important things.

Heh, actually she is a lucky girl. I rescued her as a half-grown kitten from a couple of big dumb pups who were trying to play with her -- lucky they were too young and stupid to think of a serious attack. She will be 14 soon, and this is the only "health problem" she has had since then.

oh dear, did they let you know why she has to have surgery?

They will do an x-ray and blood work to make sure there isn't a potential abscess or something from the broken tooth; hopefully it will be ok and then they will just do a cleaning. But she will be out and on an IV while they do it, since she is over 6.

She needed it done before now, but I didn't have the $$$. Still don't really, but it's priority enough that I can swing it.

I hear ya - been hearing for 2 years about Teddy. It's such a big deal with cats. Too bad we can't hand them a toothbrush.

Yeah I know. What I have spent on them this month alone would buy that new hot water heater I need. :/
