More Settling In

la_samtyrIt seems that my DSL cable company is offering a special on basic tv channels for $28/mo for a year. So yeah, I signed up. Not sure if they will install it today or not (might have to wait until Monday) but it's really not a bad deal. The cable tv (basic) *was* costing over $50/mo., so this is pretty good. None of the movie channels or PPV or any other "specialty" channels but I don't mind. Just getting a few little perks beyond the Basic 5 (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and FOX) are good enough for me. I suppose I shouldn't have done it but since it's damned unlikely I'll be able to do much of anything until next spring at the very earliest, I decided I might as well try and settle in for the winter.
