It's Still Cold

Damn, I intended to try and work on fic but I am just so freakin' cold it's not even funny. I have the heat up to about 70 -- the hottest I've had it in a long time -- and it's not helping any. Lined slippers, double sweats, you name it -- and I am still cold. Meh.

My Cousin Donna(tm) called again tonight. She was full of chatter and I really did not want to talk -- but if I don't, she gets as freaky as the aunties and calls the f'n cops on me to "check and make sure I'm ok." Anyone want a weird relative or two? Plus she is still "planning" to come over July 4th holiday/family reunion, which means I most *definitely* have to haul myself out of here before then. I suppose I'm being a coward but honestly, I simply *cannot* deal with a round of her insanity. I just *can't*. And if she comes, I just *know* I'm going to end up getting stuck with her somehow.

So, anyone feel like having a visitor this summer? Please?

oh god the people who hang round to 'check on you' and you can't get rid of them? And they are usually annoying and spongers as well.

I don't mind the aunties as much since they are super-old (94 and 97, respectively) but my cousin is another story. Unfortunately, they all have regular phones, and they aren't afraid to use them.
