la_samtyrNothing much today. It's still cool and cloudy outside but hopefully it will start to warm up a little by Tuesday though. Weirdly, Colorado seems to be getting most of our "bad" weather though that could change. I am hearing we might get fairly nasty storms later on today/tonight.
I am still working on a couple of fics -- I desperately need a beta for the newest one but so far no luck, so I guess I will just wing it and hope for the best. If it's too bad I will just shrug and say it's an AU of an AU. I might see if I can beg one of my XF sibs to help -- she loved the books and was none too happy about the modifications made to the movies. Though we both agreed that (a) Arwen takes over Glorfindel's role because face it, you have to get the love story between Aragorn and her started in the first, otherwise it's all told in flashbacks and she doesn't show up until the *very* end of RotK and (b) Haldir has to die, because there has to be a Noble Elf Death onscreen. And just who are the main elves we see/identify with? Legolas, Elrond, Arwen, Galadriel and Celeborn. You can't kill any of them because that would just be way too much messing with canon; Haldir, otoh, is expendable. *sigh* (Yes, that is vastly simplified but oh well.) She is also very unhappy about the fact that Gimli was reduced to a "buffoon", she has a deep respect for the Dwarves -- she also believes the books show that Legolas/Gimili = OTP.
