Some Bad Family-Related News

I just got done talking with my auntie, only to learn that yet another of my Omaha cousins has died (my 1st cousin Patti). So now it looks like I will be heading down to Omaha later this week; not quite sure when though. I feel badly of course but it was hard for me to get along with her, for a variety of reasons I won't go into here. Most of the reason I feel bad is that my other aunt now only has one of her five children still alive, and he (Mickey) is in bad health as well. *sigh* It's going to be even harder for her since Mark (one of her grandsons; the youngest iirc) died in January of this year.

I really do hate this year. It's the first time I've dreaded what might happen. And to think I was actually looking forward to this year... serves me right I guess.

EDIT: Friday the 21st (Good Friday) at 10am.

Ya know, I have yet to talk to someone that is having a good 2008. I was really looking forward to this year as well, I don't know what the hell happen or what the hell is still going on but I am scared for what is going to happen next, too. I wish I could just rewind a few months and figure out where it went wrong so I can fix it all. *sigh*

Seems as if there's nothing but tragedy and bad news for miles around, doesn't it? I'm almost afraid to ask how people are doing anymore -- it's as if I go and jinx them with the question. *sigh*

I'm sorry about your cousin. I was looking forward to this year too but I'm going through pretty hard times myself. And it looks like things are going down. I don't know how to fix it.
