Better late than never, right? Anyway, here goes.

The Rules

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The Wishes

Stuff that doesn't cost (much) money (if any)
---------------------------------------------
1) Icons

2) Fic (preferably slash)

3) Snail mail and/or *postcards*

4) Songs in an mp3 format for my mp3 player

5) Favorite recipes

**You probably already know my likes and dislikes, so just feel free to surprise me.

Stuff that costs money
----------------------
1) Bast or cat-related items (keychain, charm, etc.)

2) Dvd or vhs movies

3) Local newspapers or old phone books from where you live (This isn't as crazy as it sounds. I still have hopes of moving someday, and one of the best ways to learn about a place is to study their newspapers and/or phone books. The more current the better.)

4) Books

5) Cool hockey stuff

6) a JF account

7) Louis Cat Orze: The Mystery of the Queen's Necklace. [This is a super-old computer game; it came out in 1995. But it sounds so very cool that I would love to have a copy of it.]

8) Chevauchee (medieval: minature wargame)--Skirmisher Publishing [This is probably out-of-print now but again, it sounded very cool.]

9) Your choice -- go for it! :)

10) a horse. (Yes, you read that right. A real, live horse -- no mini-horses or ponies. But a real live horse that is fairly calm, well-mannered and not bronc-y or psycho. I never had weight problems until I quit "messing around" with horses, so... And yes, I do have a place to keep it.)

If you need my snail addy, you can contact me at: samtyr at yahoo dot com and I'll send it to you.

Oh I love all kinds of recipes! I love experimenting w/new ones (I especially loves soups & stews at this time of year) and I love reading "old-fashioned" ones, where all of the ingredients are listed and the directions read: "Stir well. Bake over medium coal fire until done." LOL! If you have any special favorites, that would be great. (I should add that I am much more veggie-oriented than I was but I am not a true vegetarian or vegan by any means. And I don't have access to fresh fish either. So other than those caveats, go for it!)
