So, today I finally got my living room windows open, and about time! Last night was awful, it was nearly 80 inside the house and I couldn't sleep worth anything. So today I have been napping most of the time. Heh heh. So much for getting stuff done. *And* I got a new light in the kitchen so that I can actually *see* inside again. Yikes!!! What a mess!!! Ok, it's not a total pit but there's a lot I wasn't noticing by relying on only normal daylight. Monday, a full cleaning is in order. (Tomorrow I consider a holiday y'know.)

The kittens are doing fine. Three partial tuxes (black with white 'ascots' but no white gloves or shoes) that were born a month ago and three gray ones that were born 2 weeks ago. (I think some of the gray ones must have died early on, but maybe not.) LeeAnn remains firmly convinced that they are baby meece and does not sleep much at night because of her self-appointed guard duty.

The tuxies are sweet and full of kitten hyperness. I have a cage fixed up for them outside (for their protection from maurading toms) and they just have a great time in the fresh air during the day; I still bring them in at night. They are starting to eat dry kitten chow and drink on their own. Their Mama still feeds them and stays with them parttime in the cage as well. She's an awfully good mama but no matter, she is getting fixed as soon as possible.

I also need to invest in flea/tick treatments since I just found a tick on my arm. Major ick factor there. The vet gets a call Monday morning, before I start my kitchen re-cleaning.
