Fandom Snowflake Day 1

Hi! My name is Sam (not real name); single, never married, no kids -- except for furkids. Yes, I am a crazy cat lady. I live in my very own little shack which is paid for and has cheap taxes and cheap insurance with my kitties and one barky little dog (Chi-Man.) I would love to have a horse again but it's just not do-able.

I dabble in writing. Mostly, I try to write and usually end up with multiple rewrites that are never finished, so there is that. My 'author name' is laSamtyr @ AO3 and Alquien @ SWG and Faerie. For a variety of reasons, I keep my rl and fan life as separate as possible.

I write mostly in Tolkien fandom but I have also written in a few others as well (see AO3 for full list.) A lot of my older work was lost when various sites went down. They might still exist on old hd's but I have yet to rescue them. I have not left the Tolkien fandom but RL took a very bad turn late this year, and I cannot write Tolkien in such a mood. Recently, I have been experimenting with rarepairs in men's hockey RPF, so we shall see what happens.
