Today's News and Weather Report

The weather is just lovely out and I have to admit I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

So anyway, to recap what's been going on: Monday I went to the state fair. It was a lot of fun, though a huge crowd. Lots of walking even though we were able to park fairly close. I probably walked *a lot* more than I do in most average days. Looked around at lots of things but didn't buy anything as such except for some noms. [g] Sadly, the draft horses were gone so next year I plan to make sure to go on a horse show day.

Tuesday, I went and looked at cars. Right now my '89 Blazer is at the point where if I put in any more repairs, I will be married to it and I do not like that idea at all. (Mom was one for "keeping a car in repair just enough to keep going", even when they should have been long traded off and a better one bought.) It's still a good enough car if someone can do repair work but I can't do it. So it will be going to someone who can, and I will have a newer one that *hopefully* will need less work all around.

So far the models I have looked at are (these are all '10's, btw):
a) VW Jetta Sedan
b) VW Beetle Coupe
c) Hyundai Elantra
d) Hyundai Accent
e) Mazda 3

So if any of you happen to know anything at all about any of these models, please let me know, whether it be good, bad or indifferent.
