Still Wicked Cold
Dec. 26th, 2009 04:31 pmand yes, I'm snowed in. The snow and wind have stopped; now it's just a matter of digging out. The roads are just now being cleared and of course there is a big snow ridge in front of my drive. Though luckily I don't *need* to go anywhere, so I'm good.
I need to shovel the snow from my doorstep so that LeeAnn can get out. So far she looks up at me and barks to go out but when I open the outer door (you have to remember that the porch where the cats are parked is between the inner door and outside door), she looks out, sniffs at the snowdrift that is level with my doorstep and then turns around and wants back inside. I can't say that I blame her but it is kind of funny. She looks so disappointed, poor thing. [I keep puppy pads handy for just this reason, though I think she finds them shameful. She is a *big* girl, after all.] Tomorrow if the weather is better, I will take her out on the leash at noon for a few minutes so that she can run for a bit.
No other news for now.
