Fucking Hell

One of the porch cats sneaked inside the house when I let the little dog out this morning. At first I ignored it because it was just easier and I can usually lure them back on the porch with food. But this one was being stubborn so when it spooked itself inside the bathroom, I decided to just throw a hoodie over it and get it out that way.

Well, it sort of worked. I managed to snag it, and it mostly clawed the FUCK out of the left side of my leg, right by the knee and wouldn't let go. I wasn't letting go either because I knew I would have even worse luck trying to get it a second time. So it dug in and yowled and I grabbed it tighter and CURSED, of which FUCK played a very large part, as well as several other words I am sure you have heard before. It also snagged part of the side of my left wrist. Definitely drew blood and after I tossed it back on the porch I went and did a quick wash.

Now it's off to the doctor and see if I can get some new meds and shit. Just the way to start the weekend.

Edit: This is the first time in *Years* that I have been hurt with a cat. Oh sure, a few nasty scratches at times but not so much with the "chomp-chomp" but, and I have a tetanus shot already.

Today's News -- Update

So, I went to the dr. today and got another tetanus shot plus some antibiotics. Most doctors offices don't like walk-ins but since this was an animal bite/claw, I got in during the lunch hour. He took one look at my calf and said "Wow, you really got nailed didn't you?". Kind-of impressive when you can get a dr. to say that, heh heh. [I have a vague memory of someone else posting that they had to go to the ER, and the ER dr. said "Ewwwww... gross." Yeah, that kind of thing is weirdly cool I guess.] I feel ok although my left forearm (just about an inch below the wrist) is tender. Oddly enough, my knee and calf don't seem to hurt at all. Minor swelling and mega-impressive bruising -- I wish I could take pictures and post them, lol. I'll wait and see what happens by Monday though and give the meds a chance to work.
