Yesteday's Book Meme

1. What story did you love reading, as a child?
Oh, I loved so many books! It's hard to pick a specific book or author but I loved Marguerite Henry's "Misty" books. I always wanted to go there.
2. What remains to be your all-time favorite book?
"The Way To Rainy Mountain" by N. Scott Momaday. I had the greatest good fortune to be able to attend a reading he did at university, and I was enchanted by it -- and him. He has a wonderful voice and I could have listened forever.

[Just so you can get an idea. It's actually my second choice but the first is nearly an hour long.]
3. What book do you usually recommend to people?
I usually try to pick something that I think they might find interesting, so it varies with the person.
4. If you were a character in a book, who would you be?
Until 2005-6, I would have probably said Éowyn in LotR. When I saw "Brokeback Mountain", I realized that I *am* Junior Del Mar. (Although Éowyn is still a good alternate choice.)
5. If you could write a book, what would it be about?
I have no idea. If I dared, I would write about my life here but I look over my shoulder quite enough as is.
