This was easy and hard. Easy (because I could think of so many) and hard (because of what I had to leave off.) My first instinct was to list all of JRR Tolkien's books but that would have cut far too many out -- and if we're friends, you should know that already. So these are the ones that would make the list right after Professor Tolkien.
