News for Today

The one bright spot of the day is that I got a letter from K. At last, something besides a bill! :)

In less cheerful news:
My Cousin Donna (tm) called. Oh joy. She has broken her leg. The bad news is, it doesn't sound as if she is going to miss the reunion planned for July 4th. She's said this before (the coming for a visit) but seldom shows up. But this is a reunion, and she *just might* manage to get her shit together long enough to show. Even better, she had the idea she would be staying with me. Um, no. Period, and end of discussion. [It's not like I hate her but she is a drunk, a druggie and a ho. And a thief.] I do not want to be anywhere around if she shows up. The family would probably "help" her find/stay with me, and that is just... no. Because they are much less tolerant of her lunacy than I am.

Therefore, I need to discover some long lost cousins really fast. If anyone wants to apply for the job of "my long-lost cousin(s) on my dad's side, step on up. The farther the better.

I wasn't in a good mood before she called and I am even less so now. Feh. Off to work on fic or watch dvds, or something.
