Well, it was goodbye to $490 to get a new speedometer installed in the Blazer. Meh. It had to be done though, just no way around it. It actually went out on Saturday and since the shop was closed on the weekend, I had to run in Monday am. I was hoping it would be something simple, like a fuse. But no, it was a Minor Part that cost Major $$$. *sigh* This is exactly the reason I tend to not get anything done because the money just *bleeds* out. Almost $900 in May for a fuel injector thingie and now almost $500 to replace the speedometer (some super-gifted car people can judge their speed w/o one but I am not one of them, never will be either. That's $1400 I needed to be using in so many other places... oh well..)
Shockey came over and fixed the gate (which had partly fallen off from someone dragging it and getting it twisted off to one side), so now I can open the gate *easily*! Yes!
It's still wicked hot and just going to continue to get hotter--the heat indexes are going to be nasty until next week sometime. Although Shockey said we might get some rain/storms after midnight. We shall see.
No other news for now.
