Monday Morning

The day started early for me. I mean like, about 5 am. ::yawns:: We are sleepy, oh yes we are.

So far, I have managed to get my cable tv/internet bill fiasco straightened out (saved myself at least $25 bucks there, not bad eh?), which is a major relief.

Next on the list is mail call [my meds should be in], then on to CC so (1) I can drop off a window to have new glass put in and (2) return a real estate tax statement that was sent to *me* by mistake to the courthouse. Not sure how the second one happened but oh well.

After that, we'll see. I should go to Hastings to see my aunt and get some groceries, *especially* cat food and cat litter. But I also need to make an emergency stop at the bank to straighten some things out. Ah, the joys of being on your own. Still, it could be worse.

I intend to do the Christmas list meme tonight.

Monday Morning, Part II

I didn't get to CC after all, that's for tomorrow. I did get to Hastings for groceries & gas. I didn't get to see my aunt though. I'd forgotten what a bitch it is to try and find a parking space at Perkins and there were at least twenty cars parked on the street next to it. I tried, honest I did, but every space was filled (except for the reserved spaces, of course) so I just gave up. It's weird because Perkins has so many people (residents & staff), there should be better parking. I don't get it. There ought to be some place, some way that would help so that you don't have to walk over two blocks to get to the main door. I know that doesn't sound like much, in fact, it's good to walk (I know that much) but we're talking a long-term care facility here. When you have to skip a visit because there is absolutely no decent parking--that's just wrong. Sometimes the people who plan/design these places don't have any sense at all. Maybe if things work out tomorrow I can go up for a visit.
