New DVDs

I decided to indulge early for my upcoming b'day (since my original plan is clearly shot to hell) and bought some "new" dvds. Well ok, *used* dvds from eBay. I've looked for stuff around here and they're just not to be found--at least, not what I'm looking for. So, I am looking forward to:

1) The Brothers Grimm
2) Proof
3) A Knight's Tale
4) Ned Kelly (2004)

I am also going to try and snag a copy of "Highway" and maybe a couple others as well. I do love a good snipe if I can pull it off. ::shrugs:: What the hell, it's happened to me often enough so I feel minimal guilt when I do it. Especially since what I'm after is pretty easy to get (assuming that I'm shopping on eBay that is. If I had to get out and drive, that's another thing altogether. Like cost of gas, and even then it's probably not findable. My little car just won't make it to GI or Kearney anymore, where they have larger stores that might carry a decent selection--assuming said store are still in business. I refuse to support the Evil Empire of WM. But that's another story.) If it was something hard to find or expensive or had been out of print for awhile, that's different.

And oh yeah, sorry about the NYankees wins yesterday. I was too busy cleaning house to focus properly but today will be different.

Visitors?

I think someone came in the house while I was taking a nap this afternoon. LeeAnn had a fit barking and I thought I heard a car door slamming and a car pull up drive away but I can't be sure. Why? Because it seems like LeeAnn barks at *everything*, to the point I am told that I yell "LeeAnn Shut UP!!!" even when I'm half-asleep. Plus it seems that I always hear cars pull up and car doors slam--every time I go to see who it is, it's someone at the neighbors. 99% of the time, it's not for me. So why do I think today was different? First, because I heard LeeAnn scratching at the storm door, which is made of aluminum, as opposed to the kitchen door, which is wood. So I got up and saw Mulanne (who I had left napping on the porch) was on top of the kitchen stove, cleaning out what remained in the skillet: sloppy joes, aka yum-yums. Now I know that Mulanne, being a cat, does not have thumbs and thus could not open the door. Not sure how much she actually ate but she was *very* plump and didn't fuss when I put her back on the porch. Heh. So now I have to figure out who would have walked in like that. Not sure who--it wasn't Shockey 'cause I would have smelled cigarette smoke. It wasn't any family because they would have yelled at me, plus they are scared of LeeAnn. She might only be five pounds but she *can* bite and *will* bite. She's not a biter though, she usually just barks--and that is enough to do the trick. Well, I suppose I'll hear who it was sooner or later--like maybe in a year or two.
