I finally broke down and went to the dr. today. I just missed seeing her before she went for lunch, so I sat in the waiting room and coughed. And coughed a little more (ok, ok, a *lot* more), which led to me being squeezed in for a super-quick consult. She gave me an Rx for some kick-ass cough medicine w/codine. Yes! Seriously though, I *always* end up w/a nasty cough and a heavy-duty Rx cough syrup is all that really works. I can go through several bottles of OTC cough syrup and not even notice any difference. In other news, I guess maybe I was meant to go into the dr. today. I saw Brenda F., and she told me her mom, Jody, was in MLMH w/some bad health issues. Heart, mostly. So we talked for a bit and then she left. Imagine my surprise when I saw her sister Becky W. just a few minutes later! So I talked to her as well, and Becky ended up asking me about Jesse's house (which, if you've been reading my ramblings here, you probably already know the basic story). So, long story short, one of her daughters is going w/a guy named Adam S____ (I really can't remember his last name, I suck at remembering names, period), who was interested in buying it. I told her that he really needed to talk to Witt (the lawyer handling the whole mess) about it. Now, I probably should have gone and spoken to Witt after seeing Becky but I didn't, I just snatched the Rx, got it filled and came straight home, took the cough syrup and *crashed*. Oh, to finally not be coughing so badly! :::happy sigh::: *Anyhoo*, I woke up about 6pm. when Adam called me. We talked a bit; he had already talked to Witt and so I *really* need to call him (Witt) tomorrow. I'm almost scared to hope that this might actually be settled. ::fingers crossed:: Please please please please please please let it be true!!
PS. The insurance man called today and he will be here tomorrow to look at Carl's, where the roof caved in under all the snow from last weeks storm. Probably not covered, it's really an enhanced liability policy but the paperwork still needs to be done.
