Monday Morning

... and I am having a sneeze fit. Can't blame it on the furkids and I didn't get chilled yesterday so ::shrugs:: go figure. I am still trying to find a way to see BBM and it looks like time is getting shorter since according to the map at IMDb, it's going to be pretty well gone after this Thursday. Unless they haven't updated the map there yet; not sure which. I am definitely going to move this next year, people. My requirements for a town are: hockey rink (and team), airport, library and at least one used bookstore. A college and/or university would be nice as well but if they have an airport, they ought to have everything else mentioned. (Though you will notice I listed the airport as secondary to the hockey rink. I do keep my priorities straight after all ;). It's really nice and sunny out but I'm not sure what I'll do just yet--to go in and do some after Christmas shopping or not. Hmmmmm... not an easy choice. I really ought to see if I can get someone to help me haul Mom's entertainment center over here so I can get my living room a little bit more straightened up. Not to mention setting up my vcr and dvd player again. That would be very nice too. Right now I don't want to hook them up since I would only have to take it all down again when Mom's entertainment center finally gets here. Yes, I am lazy. Nothing new there. Ok, in any case, back later.

Traveling (Warning: Rant Ahead)

It now looks as if I won't be seeing BBM after all. There is just *no* public transportation avalable. I'm 20 miles from the nearest train station and round-trip to Chicago would be $280, while the train to St. Louis would be $364, due to the fact that I would have to go to freaking WASHINGTON STATE before I could head *east* again. It's totally insane! I'd spend almost a full week just on the train (at least a day and a half to get there *plus* a goddamned bus connection as well -- and that's just ONE WAY!!).

::bangs head on wall:: Goddamned motherfucking *teamsters*! I HATE THEM! I know a lot of the semi-drivers from around here and a sorrier bunch of losers, druggies and alkies you could never hope to find! 99.99% of them are worthless pieces of shit! ARRRGGGGHH! I wish that scumbag Hoffa was still alive so he could *suffer*! Damn them all to the lowest circle of hell for encouraging the killing off of mass transit in the US! Thanks to them, there are NO trains to speak of. NO buses. The airfare is $4-500 MINIMUM to get any place at all! FUCK!! If I had that kind of money, I could practically buy a newer car to get me there--assuming that I had enough left over for gas that is. But I'm sure I could beg money from local churches along the way--always assuming the car didn't crap out on me in the first place! **SIGH** Maybe I can beg a ride yet, if I ask around some of the different ljs.
