It's A Blizzard!

It's starting to be one; the warnings are officially out now. Wind gusts are 30+ and maybe 8" of snow. I'm not going to get outside anymore than absolutely neccessary. Brrrrrr! I got more things from Mom's, like the giant plant, her dvd system and a couple of snowglobes I didn't want to break. The kitties are camped on the porch and I'm curling up on the couch to watch 'Shrek' on tv. Later!

Weather Again

It seems as if the blizzard is finally reaching here. The wind has picked up and it's probably freezing sleet by now. Lots of warning and school closings on tv. Some small flakes of snow but the snow has yet to start in. The roads are gonna be a *bitch* by tomorrow, a real *bitch*. At least I have enough munchies and assorted food to get by for tomorrow--well, obviously longer than that but you know what I mean. It's supposed to be nicer by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. And oh yeah, I found my missing library book! YAY! At least I'll just have a small fine and not a blasted replacement fee. So I'm off to bed. Not sure why exactly except that I'm catching up on my sleep (about time, right?). The furkids are ready to cuddle up; they're both curled tight w/tails over noses. Maybe I should turn the heat up more? Naw, 'cause it's probably going to be worse later on. Gotta try and keep the gas bill down, right? Right! Ok, niters!

PS. I'd put the icon for 'cold' down but that would be redundant. LJ needs an icon for "hibernate."
