Still Here (and Another OT Update)

I finally got *some* sleep last night but I've learned I sleep better if I have a sports channel on. ::blushes:: I know it sounds weird but it's true. Either that or it's because I turn on the heat at night... take your pick. :) I'm going to make my pumpkin pie today and go into Hastings for a few, so I'll be back later on, as usual.

It looks as if I'm going to be keeping up the OT, in other words, Jiri Fischer for awhile so if you want to stop reading this post, do so now.

Jiri is recovering in a Detroit hospital, although his career seems to be in question. In fact, some places make it sound like this is a somewhat common occurence for him and only the fact that it was caught on tv brought it to light. Not sure I can believe that, cause no team could function under that kind of stress if it were true. The Wings were genuinely stunned; no-one *ever* becomes blase about a thing like that. I know; my dad had a bad heart for years and so I'm probably a bit over-sensitive to the entire issue. Hearts are funny things; one of my cousins has a "fluttery" heart but whatever it does has never shown up on *any* EKG or echogram or whatever, even though they have tests done about every 3 months. ::shrugs:: So go figure. The important thing is that Jiri is alive and well. And, Jiri hon, it doesn't get much better than that. Anything else is a bonus.

No Counter Space :(

I *was* going to bake; however, due to all the "settling in", my mixer and blender have disappeared into an unmarked box. Along with most of my spices, vanilla, etc. *SIGH* So now I get to look for more of my stuff. It could be worse; at least I don't have to buy everything new. Maybe I should just try and write something, like letters that are overdue or start on my Christmas cards.

Instead of *writing*, I took a nap. A much-needed nap. I feel improved but not exactly refreshed. Refreshed needs another 6-8 hrs. minimum. But I do feel better. Maybe I'll start writing yet. Better yet, I think I'll check out eBay first. 0;)

Time To Crash

Assuming I can tear myself away from my 'puter, that is. ;) Still cruising eBay--it is absolutely my most favorite store *ever*.

Now for the OT: Jiri is out of the hospital and "resting comfortably" at home. *But* (according to some news reports) he's supposed to have no physical activity for 4-6 weeks. Woah. And to think Jiri is a totally health-oriented person; no smoking, no drinking, etc. etc. I mean, he did everything right and he still ends up getting sick. :/
