Sad News About My Mom :~(

As you can tell, Mom passed away about 4am this morning. I am heartbroken, devastated even though I knew it was coming. I don't think it's really hit me yet. She's far better off though; no more aches and pains of being trapped in an aging, failing body. She was game as a pebble through it all. I miss her terribly already.

For those of you who read this, please feel free to pass it on to any of the lists we may share in common. I'll be offline quite a bit, but I'll probably be online most evenings--*late* evening, that is.

Just Checking In

My brother Jesse is staying w/me; it's just us for now. Other family members will start coming in Friday. So much to do... Oddly, I was pretty well organized for a change. Donna has called and says she will be here. :/ Well, if she makes it she makes it. I won't worry till I see her.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 9 pm on Friday; the funeral will be at the UCC "South" church on Saturday at 11 am. Afterwards there will be a lunch at the community room, since it is level, w/o any steps in deference to the older ones who have much difficulty w/stairs and steps.

I am not as tired as I thought I would feel, but I'm sure that will come later on. *SIGH*
