Hockey on NBC

la_samtyrThe Wings/Avalanche game was televised, it's so good to be able to see *some* hockey at least. The next game will be the Avalanche/Stars on 11 Feb, which will be nice too. I am disappointed that it sounds as if there will be few, if any, Eastern games televised here until the Finals, if then. This new tv deal could be a *lot* better...
And what the hell is up with hardly any of the Eastern teams playing in the West? In some places, StK and Co. will only be playing in the West once in *five years*! That's so fucking stupid I don't know where to start! You sure as hell wouldn't see this happening in any other pro sport! And when Beckham finally gets to LA, you can just bet he'll be playing in games all over the place! There probably won't be a city where he won't play, even if it's just some sort of exhibition thing! Not to diss Beckham, don't get me wrong--but I'm a hell of a lot more interested in seeing the young Eastern hockey players than I am watching *soccer*/football. ::snarls:: We need one of the LotR people to get rid of a Certain Evil Troll Who Shall Remain Nameless.
