Weather Report
Dec. 19th, 2006 06:05 pmFinally, there is a winter storm brewing -- "a winter cyclone" is what they're calling it -- but I have no idea how bad (or even if) it will be here or just slide on by, though they insist we'll get hit hard. More freezing rain than anything else but about 2" of the stuff is predicted for Clay county, which might take out the power lines. It's happened here before but I believe I am well-prepared; lots of food, bottled water, blankets, etc. Also candles and a radio, lots of books to read plus my cell phone is charged. I don't need to go anyplace, most of my C-cards are sent (the last package was sent today), so we shall see what happens. My flashlight is wonky though, I need to get a new one--but my cell phone can be used briefly as such. The only hardship I will have is if I lose my internet. (Oh yes, I even have a deck of playing cards.) The furkids are safe inside, also w/plenty of food and litter. What more do I need? Hmmmmm, I can't really think of anything. The storm should be finished by Thursday night for sure, so if I disappear for a time you can check the Weather Channel.
