N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)

1) More of the *good* authors in fandom getting published in the mainstream. Seriously, when I see some of the drek that gets published *and* made into multi-movies (yes, I am referring to TwiLite and the "sequel"), I just feel enraged. The books are poorly written and the editing (if you can call it that!) seems to be even worse. And yet, that clown and their 'apprentice' raked in mega-backs and just... ooooooh!!! Ok, shutting up now.

2) Better film adaptions. Now I realize that there is are inherent difficulties when it comes to adapting any book into a movie and even the best movies and directors struggle with it. But there are times when the rule "less is more" needs to be followed -- along with "pay attention to what the author wrote."

3) Real-life get-togethers with other fans. Most fan conventions and other meetings tend to be on one of the coasts and getting there is just so hard to manage because of transportation issues.

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it?

I'm afraid I really don't remember any more. I knew that there were other fans back when I was a kid but I had absolutely no idea how to find them.

The closest I can come is the mid-90's when I started writing in Xfiles and I was probably writing pretty gen Mulder & Krycek. But the archive I used then (not ffn) is gone now and I don't have any fics from that time left (maybe if I could figure out how to get into some of my really old hd's...) -- except for one, "Birthday Boy", which is at AO3.

As far as ship/character goes, it could apply to almost any couple in Tolkien but the Silm especially. I first thought of it being for Fëanor/Nerdanel but it works especially well for any relationship that traces back to the House of Finwë: Finwë/Míriel, Finwë/Idis, etc. etc.
