Today's topic: What's your favorite thing about the Christmas holiday season?
(I have to admit that I got today and yesterday's topics reversed. Oops!)

When I was a kid, I *loved* the holidays because it meant NO SCHOOL!!! YAY!!!

I mean, seriously -- I did not enjoy school at. all. It also meant lots of baking and cooking with my mom and grandma (Mom's mother) -- the house always smelled wonderful. *happy sigh*

We usually had a lot of company back then too and I loved getting to see my cousins since many of them were my age. *wistful sigh* Those were good days.

But now I usually spend Christmas alone, except for my furkids and visiting & chatting online. I find it to be a time of reflection, and I try to listen to a variety of Christmas music, traditional and more modern.

I have a Christmas playlist that I play on repeat from November 15th. It tends to provoke interesting responses from whichever poor soul cohabits with me that year.
