I've seen a couple of writing memes lately, so I thought I'd play along. This is the first one; the second will be posted sometime next week (wish me luck.)


1. Which is your favorite of the fics you’ve written for X fandom?
I love all my babies! :)

2. Favorite piece overall?
See above.

3. Which was the hardest to write, in terms of plot?
They are all hard, each in their very own special way, lol.

4. Which has the most “you” in it, however you’d define that?
I have no idea. The closest, I imagine, would be "Daddy" (which I wrote in the Brokeback Mountain fandom and is at AO3) because I know Junior down to my bones.

5. What is an image/set of images that you’re particularly proud of?
Again, I have no idea. I'm proud of all of them.

6. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?
That would probably be the bigbang cross-over I've been trying to finish for the last 2-3 years. I swear that the story is jinxed! Weirdly, something always happens in December and/or January so that I can't finish (the last two years have been computer crashes) and it just kills the whole thing. Someday, though...

7. Least favorite plot point/chapter/moment?
There's probably a lot of them but I really don't know which ones they are.

9. Favorite character to write?
It all depends on which character has the strongest voice, and that can vary wildly at any given time.

10. Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you’ve written:

11. If I’m showing off just one of your pieces to someone, which one should it be?
That's totally up to you -- you choose your favorite.

12. What WIPs do you have going now? Are you excited about them?
I have several WIPs going right now. Whether or not they'll be finished very soon -- if ever -- remains to be seen. But I'm always excited about them.

13. Are there any things that might have happened in any of your stories, but you changed them at the last minute? (So-and-so dies, they don’t actually kiss, main character has long extended ballet-based dream sequence, etc.)

14. Would you want to write canon for any of your fandoms (like be hired by showrunner to do an episode)? Which one?
Oh definitely! You can probably guess which one(s)! ;)

15. Does font matter to you when you’re writing a draft?
Not really but I do like to use a font that is easy to see and read. Nothing is worse than getting stuck with a miniscule, elaborate font. (Yes, it happened to me once. Ugh!)

16. 3 favorite comments ever received on fanfic.
I've had a lot of nice comments on stories and I always appreciate every one of them.

17. Any mean comments? How’d you deal with it? Who laid the smackdown?
I've gotten a few flames but most of the time I just laugh and delete. Why feed a troll?

18. If you could go back and revise one of your older stories, which would it be?
I'm *always* wanting to revise things -- I'm always thinking "Can I say this better? Make it clearer? etc. etc." but other than typos etc., I make myself just leave it be. That's not to say I won't do a complete revision of some things at a later point though.

19. Do you make up scenes at work/on the bus/at the gym? Who are the characters that pop up the most? Do you write them down?
All the time! I don't have any special characters who show up though -- that's why I usually try and carry a notebook and pencil with me.
