Today's News and Weather Report

Well, so far so good. It's arguably a bit cooler today but you can't prove it by me. Still blistering hot outside.

Last night I laid awake and coughed nearly the whole time. I didn't want to risk any cough syrup because of the CAT scan, so by the time it was morning I was already exhausted and feeling even more rotten.

So.

(Cut for medical stuff)

Went in early, because I didn't want to be late. Had to wait a bit but at least the building was open at 7:30 am. Drank the barium 'shakes' they give; actually because of my cold I couldn't really taste anything which was probably a plus. Had the scan, then walked across the hall (literally, it's a big enough building for that) and got right in to see the dr. He called in a couple of Rx's for cough syrup and an antibiotic and I get to see him in a week. Yay. So, went to pick the Rx's, drove to the vet for Lucky's special food and drove straight back home. Took *all* my meds (because again, didn't want anything to interfere w/the scan) and then went to sleep for about 4 hrs.

I have been up long enough for round 2 of meds, so now it is back to bed for awhile.

I don't think so but this is the nastiest summer cold I've had on years. as for the other, I will keep you posted.
