I suspect the window was there before the room got turned into a cozy reading place, so I guess "Fail!" is too strong for me... but yeah, it looks a bit cumbersome. The view makes up for it, though!
The window looks new to me. I think they probably replaced an older one with a 'cool' new one. My problem is that I have severe vertigo and that low bottom window combined with that huge top yawning open would probably trigger it. :/
Nah, the frame is corroded in places, and the whole fixational system of the thing screams "historical" to me - 1980s at the latest, probably older. Of course, it might be "vintage"...
Yes, I can see how that would be a problem for someone suffering from vertigo! Personally I'd be more worried about bad smells when the wind comes in (either from the sea, or from that next-roof chimney) or about insects. XD
