I had a great visit with the Cousins. Much more to write about later on though, like maybe tomorrow.
Rant ahead.
Tonight I have been struggling to hook up a "sync" so that I can pull the stuff off the hd's of my old Me and 2000 and get it transferred here. As usual, it does not work. The "sync" isn't launching properly, I just know it. ::headdesk:: Naturally. I am convinced that is the damned Norton flaw that is screwing things up because I keep hearing that same damn little 'ping' -- and there is just no way to get around it. Worse, I have no way *around* it.
As a result, I have decided to get yet another "new" computer next fall. I hate to do it, but there is just too damned many glitches on this one that I simply *cannot* work around. Yes, I just bought it last fall. Yes, I bought it new from a store. Yes, it's less than a year old. Yes, I can get online. Yes, I can chat. Yes, I can read stuff, and write and all sorts of things like that. But what I *cannot* do is the incredibly simple things -- things that should be a non-issue, like getting files from one hd to another. Right now I have to use a USB device, which is rather iffy at times. And it is just too damn frustrating. This little bitch of a computer has been iffy to start with; dummy me thought it was because I wasn't used to Vista. That may or may not still be the problem but I am just too tired of dealing with the damned weirdness. I swear this is f'n jinxed so next fall, it is going!
