And Today's News
Aug. 3rd, 2007 08:28 pmNot much, to be honest. I had to run into GI and ended up spending way too much on cd's at the hastings chain store but since I hadn't been there in... 2 or 3 years, I guess I wasn't too bad. Found some nice books at the GI GW store too; I do love acquiring more trade credit [eg]. Then I went downtown and snooped in some of the stores just for fun. I couldn't find the used book store though, I kept getting messed up on the streets. Maybe next time if I take Eddy instead of Broadwell... heh, for as much as I've driven there it's still kinda tricky. And wow, have they ever done a lot on S. Locust! Practically all of the hotel chains look redone and there are a lot more strip malls that I don't remember from before. Sadly, the little Greyhound bus stop is gone, which really sucks because let me tell you, that place was *always* busy! **Always**! ::sigh:: Damned cutbacks... we so need mass transit and there just isn't any here. Ok, time to stop before I get started on my "mass transit conspiracy theory."
I am slowly educating Vezina in the ways of being a house kitten. She's a hyper little stinker and I fed her some pizza crusts, which she really chowed on, growling slightly to let everyone know that she's a big tough girl and she's here to stay! XD Her brothers and the other three occasionally sneak in but honestly, I just can't keep *all* of them in the house. I mean, six kittens playing keep-away and four queens all fighting for the alpha spot (or whatever the feline equivalent is) and one neutered tom who oversees everything is just a bit much. Add to this a barky little dog who spazzes out when the cats start racing... no. I love 'em dearly but there is a limit.
There was a brief shower earlier but nothing since then. It's been so hot and muggy that I can't sleep very well, so time for a nap I guess. Later!
